Grande emozione portare il Blues Trio con Maxx Testa e Massimo Sbaragli al festival blues internazionale Jerry Ricks in Croazia, dedicato all’artista di Philadelphia che si era trasferito nei primi anni del 2000 a Kastav. Uno tra i festival blues più importanti del Paese con artisti in cartellone del calibro di Sue Foley, Steve Arvey, Kyla Brox e molti altri.
Per noi è stata l’occasione di fare conoscere la qualità della nostra musica fuori dai confini nazionali e di apprezzare di persona artisti e organizzatori.

Prima di noi ha suonato un duo strepitoso composto dai finalisti dell’European Blues Challenger Boris Hrepić Hrepa e Tomi Novak e una Big Band di fiati che ha eseguito classici internazionali.

Bellissimo a tale proposito dividere il palco nella Jam finale con Riccardo Staraj e Boris Hrepić Hrepa.
Il pubblico ha molto apprezzato il nostro set e l’accoglienza e la professionalità da parte degli organizzatori ha fatto si che la nostra esperienza in questo bellissimo festival diventasse indimenticabile.
Tornati a casa dopo molte ore di viaggio il nostro cuore era ancora li a contemplare le acque cristalline del mare di Ika con nelle orecchie il suono del blues che è una musica che unisce persone distanti molte miglia ma vicine nello spirito.
La voglia di tornare in quei luoghi appena lasciati è probabilmente la manifestazione più evidente che tutto è andato nel migliore dei modi.

Il Jerry Ricks Blues Festival si conferma una tra le realtà più interessanti d’Europa dove si possono ascoltare artisti di altissima qualità ed esperienza che difficilmente si incontrano in altri festival.

It was a truly emotional experience to bring the Blues Trio with Maxx Testa and Massimo Sbaragli to the Jerry Ricks International Blues Festival in Croatia, dedicated to the Philadelphia artist who moved to Kastav in the early 2000s. This is one of the most important blues festivals in the country, featuring artists of the caliber of Sue Foley, Steve Arvey, Kyla Brox, and many others.

For us, it was an opportunity to showcase the quality of our music beyond national borders and to personally appreciate the artists and organizers. Before us, an amazing duo, finalists of the European Blues Challenger, Boris Hrepić Hrepa and Tomi Novak, played, followed by a brass Big Band that performed international classics. It was wonderful to share the stage in the final Jam with Riccardo Staraj and Boris Hrepić Hrepa.

The audience greatly appreciated our set, and the hospitality and professionalism of the organizers made our experience at this beautiful festival unforgettable. After many hours of travel, our hearts were still there, contemplating the crystal-clear waters of the Ika sea, with the sound of the blues in our ears—music that unites people miles apart but close in spirit.

The desire to return to those places we just left is probably the most evident sign that everything went perfectly. The Jerry Ricks Blues Festival confirms itself as one of the most interesting realities in Europe, where you can hear artists of the highest quality and experience, rarely found at other festivals.
